Recently, Sun Jie, Vice Chairman of the Fuyang District People's Congress Standing Committee; Ni Guochun, Party Committee Member of the District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau; and leaders from the Wuhan Municipal Finance Bureau visited the Dongwushan Tofu Skin Industrial Park. They conducted an on-site inspection to gain a deeper understanding of efforts to preserve and inherit traditional tofu skin-making craftsmanship as well as its industrial development.
Dongwu Mountain Tofu Skin Industrial Park integrates millennium-old intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship with raw material cultivation, traditional processing, modern production, and cultural exhibition. Recognized as a Zhejiang Provincial Demonstration Base for Productive Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the park preserves complete traditional handmade processes while implementing modern quality management systems to ensure product quality and safety.
During the visit, Sun Jie, Deputy Director of the Fuyang District People's Congress Standing Committee; Ni Guochun, Party Committee Member of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau; and leaders from the Wuhan Municipal Finance Bureau toured the production workshop, intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall, and R&D center. They received a detailed briefing on traditional tofu skin-making processes—including bean selection, soaking, grinding, boiling, and peeling—and commended the artisans' exceptional craftsmanship. The leaders also visited the product display area to learn about the company's achievements in product innovation and market expansion.
